This policy explains how Serenity Market protects your personal information, in accordance with Quebec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25).

What we collect, and why

  • For your order: name, shipping and billing address, email, phone (optional), products ordered. They are used to process, ship and track your order, and to contact you about it.
  • For payment: it is processed by Stripe ; we never receive or store your card number.
  • If you create an account: username and password (encrypted), your order history.
  • To show the products we can deliver to you: the IP address of your connection is used, on our own server, to determine your country (Canada, United States or other), so that we only show you products we can deliver to you. This check uses a local database: your IP address is neither kept for this purpose nor shared with anyone. You can also choose your country yourself with the “Ship to” selector at the top of the pages. IP location: IP Geolocation by DB-IP.
  • Cookies: those needed for the cart, sign-in, payment and your choice of delivery country and, only if you accept, marketing cookies that note where your visit comes from (for example Google or Facebook) to link it to your order, and the pixel of Meta (Facebook, Instagram), which measures our ads (page views, add-to-carts, purchases); Meta then receives your IP address and technical information about your browser, in the United States, but never your name, email or address. You can refuse or change your mind at any time (see our cookie policy).
  • Links to Amazon: our Amazon Finds page contains affiliate links (Amazon Associates Program). When you click one of these links, you leave our site: Amazon may then use its own cookies, on its own site, to know that you came from us. We receive no information about you; Amazon only tells us the total of qualifying purchases, with no names.

We never sell your information.

Who we share it with

Only with those who need it to fulfil your order:

  • Stripe (payment);
  • Printful (production and shipping of printed products);
  • CJdropshipping (shipping of other products);
  • carriers (delivery);
  • Automattic (WordPress.com and Jetpack), which connects the store to our mobile management app and protects it against attacks: a copy of order information is synchronized there.

Some of these partners process information outside Quebec (elsewhere in Canada, in the United States, Europe or Asia). We have assessed that they provide adequate protection, and they may only use your information to fulfil your order.

Where and for how long

The store is hosted on our own servers in Quebec. Order information is kept for the period required by tax law (6 years), then destroyed; customer account information is kept until you delete your account.

Your rights

You may at any time ask toaccess your information, to have it corrected, to withdraw your consent, to obtain a copy in a common format, or to have deleted your account, by writing to boutique@serenityonline.ca. We answer within 30 days. You may also file a complaint with the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec.

Privacy incidents

If an incident presents a risk of serious injury, we will notify you and the Commission d’accès à l’information as soon as possible.
